Obtain data from other server

Hello All,

Exchange rate data is being extracted from a website and the same is saved in the tables in a system 1 of server 1. Now my requirement is to get the same data into System 1 in server 2. As the data is already extracted for Server 1 please let me know the possible ways to get the same for server2 instead of again extracting the data from website.

I cannot go with RFC call as I cant write program lines in the system where data is present.

will using IDOC be helpful ?

Hi,

Can you explain some more.If both are sap systems check with idoc or bapi. What is the issue using in bapi.

Vachana,

You can make a RFC call from your system where data is not present and get the data from the server.For which you need to have logical systems defined for the RFC destinations in SM59.

If is not SAP tables, by DBCON connections you can get data using native SQL commands.

go with below steps

1) configure RFC destination in SM59 for SAPHTTP and SAPHTTPA. You can use report: RSHTTP05 to test if RFC connection has been correctly setup.

2) Use HTTP_GET FM, pass URL details of Exchange website. collect data in internal table.

3) Parse the data from above internal tables and pass it BAPI: BAPI_EXCHANGERATE_CREATE.
