Structure CHVWSHADOW_Z cannot be enhanced

In Enhancement SAPLCHVW (SMOD) it is allowed to add new fields to a structure in order to show in an ALV in a standard transaction .

Exit documentation:

The user exit EXIT_SAPLCHVW_001 in function module CHVW_EXPLODE_ALL is
activated by the enhancement SAPLCHVW. The interface of function module
EXIT_SAPLCHVW_001 contains the table T_SHADOW, whose structure is
defined by the DDIC structure CHVWSHADOW. CHVWSHADOW contains the append
structure CHVWSHADOW_Z, in which customers can include their own
entries. T_SHADOW contains the data for the batch where-used list, which
the database selected and prepared beforehand. The columns in T_SHADOW
for the customer-specific fields from CHVWSHADOW_Z are empty when the
table is transferred to the user exit. The customer has to see to it
that these columns in the user exit are filled with the required data.

The question is that when we go to struccture CHVWSHADOW_Z it can not be enhanced. we can not add append structure.

Could you please help us?

I see your point and issue , can you go ahead by Creating an append structure(ZZ) directly on the structure CHVWSHADOW ..I dont see any other option and i belive this should not have any implications

I had already thought on use CHVWSHADOW but firstly i will create a SAP OSS message in order to know why CHVWSHADOW_Z cannot be extended because it is described in SAP documentation.
