Hi all,

We have a requirement to have a batch check @ Sales order level, and I have come to know about VB_Batch_determination FM which standard uses to check the batch at the delivery level and also I have known that this the only(as far my knowledge is concerned) FM which takes care of the other conditions too i.e. shelf life and other characteristics(material) while the batch is determined.

I have read a bit more posts on this which states that after using the FM it locks the batch and sometimes due to which the batch differs at the sales and delivery level.

Example: Say consider a scenario when 15 kg of particular is available in that batch and and I require 8 KG for particular SO. Then after determination at Sales order the batch will be locked @ 7 Kgs left and due to which, when @ delivery the batch determination happens then the current batch won't be part of the delivery of composition of two batches will be part of batch split.

So Hope you understood the requirement...

Kindly suggest your solutions....

Any help would be appreciated

If there is a copy control activated ,Batch gets copied from Order to Delivery , so i dont think u will have an issue there , but i beliver u cannot change the Batch in Delivery if u do a Batch Determination at the Order Level

I am unclear about your explanation.

Do you want a different batch in the delivery to the one in the sales order? Why would you want that?
