Schedule lines not updating while using the BAPI_SCHEDULE_MAINTAIN

Hi Gurus,

I am using BAPI_SCHEDULE_MAINTAIN to change the schedule line delivery date and schedule line quantity, while i was changing using t-code ME38 it is changing but while using the above mentioned BAPI i am getting the below error,

"Instance PurchSchedagreement of object type <schedule agreement no> could not be changed"

Kindly help on this.

Hello ,

Are you using this bapi in SE37 or in program. Can you please check if you are commiting either by calling bapi BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT or by commit?

Hi Amber,

We are using this BAPI in a Program, we are using BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT for commiting.

But the Bapi "BAPI_SCHEDULE_MAINTAIN" only returned the error message.

"Instance PurchSchedagreement of object type <schedule agreement no> could not be changed"

Kindly advice.

does a manual change via the usual transaction work? or do you get there an error?

I am able to chnage it manually & there is no error message when I change it.

browsing thru all the discussions about the same problem gives me the impression that you should see at least 2 lines of error messages in the return table.

the line you posted is the overall status,

further lines will describe the individual errors.

The other error message was "Quantity delivered smaller than quantity ordered", but when we checked the Schedule lines it was correct and we didn't find any problem in Scheduled Qty.

I am certain that you have to focus on this message.

maybe you missed to submit a value or an indicator in a field (or you submitted it while it should be empty).

Unfortunatly I never loaded schedules agreements, none of our 500 plants is using this, so I have no experience here.
