Dear SAP security gurus,

Good day.

I would like to seek your opinion about using the FM PRGN_1251_SAVE_FIELD_VALUES in a program. I have a requirement to maintain a large number of roles so I'm thinking if it will be possible to create a program for this purpose. Are there any negative impact/side effects in using this FM?

Hi,

slightly off topic but there is a solution for defense built by SAP that creates roles and manipulates them. You can have a look how they update values in security roles. Check transaction /isdfps/role_manager in ECC.

Hello Andre,

I am facing the similar situation while trying to change the roles. I have tried using BDC but it becomes more complicated during Page Up and Page Down logic. Have you found the solution to this query?
