im unable to find instance method name on execution screen

hi everyone,

I have created an abstract class in se24 with attributes and method as instance
and inherited in subclass.

when i am trying to execute, im unable to find instance method name on execution screen.

Please let me know where i went wrong

Hi,

do you have a constructor in you subclass? When yes, you have to create an instance in the test-screen. After creation of this instance, you will see your method.

How to create an instance in the test-screen. Please advice. as im new to this OOPS, unable to understand why im getting the problem

Hi,

no problem.

When you are in the class browser (se24) - just press F8 and then you get a button "Instance" in the toolbar. This will only appear, if you have a constructor in your class - otherwise you will get immediatly an instance created.

Perhaps, you have defined your method as "protected". In this case, the Test-Tool cannot display your method, because it cannot "see" it in the interface-specifiation of the class.
