Hi guys,

my ABAP has to save some db content to an excel file on the local workstation. I'm using function gui_download.

But the result is each row of my internal table is written to one cell. I would like to have each field of a row in my internal table to be written to one cell. Is that possible? If yes, how? And if no, do you know an alternative way?

Thanks in advance,

Tan

Moderator message : Not enough re-search before posting, discussion locked.

Message was edited by: Vinod Kumar

Hi Tan,

You can either create a tab separated file(with .xls extention) or a comma separated CSV file. This might help you. However in case you still cannot secure the required functionality then the best available method is to create an XML file an XML is most compatible with Excel.

You can refer to my document in case you need to create one:

http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-24791

There are several other documents available for XML creation you can refer to those too.

Regards,

Aastha
