BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_CHECK does not check validation rules and field statuses

Hi,

I have a requirement where we upload the journal entries using spread sheet and post them using FB01.

Before posting I check for errors in the records using 'BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_CHECK'.

This BAPI is checking the errors, but it is not checking the validation rules and field statues

defined using transactions OB28 and OB14 transactions.

My questions:

1. What fields need to be passed into above BAPI to check validations and field statues

2. Do we have any other FM/BAPI which can check the validations and field statues.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Hi,

I had the same problem just few days back.

Solution to above problem is NOT passing CURRENCYAMOUNT when calling BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_CHECK.

Then RETURN table does contains error message which includes all the validations.

If RETURN table does not contain any error then AGAIN call BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_CHECK but this time with CURRENCYAMOUNT so that you can check if parking/posting is possible.
