BDC Recording for SM58 tcode

Hello,

There is a daily job in SM58 tode: Execute SM58 tcode and in output for 'Status Text' column, select the message and goto Edit->Execute LUW(F6) and then do same for remaining entries.

Now we want to automate this manual process by recording.

In above scenario in one condition we do not press F6 i.e. (execute LUW) when Status text is: "Connect Error: Connect to Host....."

While recodring I am able to do all recording steps which can be done manualy. Problem is How to Check particular Error message while recording. if there is message "Connect Error: Connect to Host....." then we dont press F6 we should skip that record step and continue for remaining.

can any one tell how to read value while recording.

Why don't you select record from ARFCSSTATE where ARFCRETURN is initial and with further selection on fields ARFCSTATE or ARFCMSG, and then submit report RSARFCSE for each record selected ?

Back on your question, check standard program RSARFCEX which performs very similar to your requirement.
