Error When Creating Custom Transaction Code

Hi,

I'm trying to create a custom Transaction based on custom table. But i'm getting the message as "Table/View ZTable is not in the Dictionary".

I followed the steps below:

Se11 ->ztable & Maintained Table Maintenance Generator

SE93 --> Create TCode -->

Default Values for

Transaction:SM30

Set the check box skip the intial screen

In the default values

Name of the Screen field : VIEWNAME Value: Zname

UPDATE Value X

Any Suggestions?

Hello friend,

I too just tried your steps but its working fine for me.

Just try this once again and make sure that the view and table of yours is saved and activated properly.

Also just check in SM12 whether the table or view is locked by the system so that it doesn't allow for processing of the table or view.

Hai,

Follow these steps

1.Create a table and generate maintenance generator.

2.Goto se93, enter the tcode and click on create.

3.Enter the short text and select transaction with parameters option and click on continue.

4. Enter transaction SM30 in transaction input field , check the skip initial screen check box give default values VIEWNAME as name of screen field and ZTABLE NAME as its value and give another record UPDATE as name of screen filed and X as its value and Click on save then tcode is created for the table. We can enter the data by using the tcode.

hi ,

if still you are unable to create Tcode ..give the view name as ur TCODE name instead of table name. and check once.
