Issue regarding how to view Chinese data in excel document

Hi All,

I have a question about how to view Chinese data in excel format.

I am passing values from alv output to excel as email attachment. I am receiving email successfully but in place of Chinese values i getting garbage values.

I have tried function modules SCMS_STRING_TO_XSTRING where i have entered encoding value then converted xstring to binary. I also tried HR_KR_STRING_TO_XSTRING with codepage value.

Can anyone please help me with this issue.

Hi,

When you download in Excel, the character formats are taken from the Front end, besure that the chinese font is installed in your OS, should support the lanagugae format you are downloading to.
