Hi

I'm working on an enhancement to a SAP report. I've added parameters, and they work; I've added new fields to the output and I see them. However, I can't figure out how to handle texts - the parameters appear with the names of the fields, not texts that can be translated. SAP notes 1500996 and 1481544 imply that it is possible to define texts for an enhancement, but I don't see how. Can anyone help me?

Thanks.

Hi ,

check this once[ click here|http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/Snippets/SAPStandardText+Enhancement]

    This screenshot shows transaction "MM01".

Get the data element of the field Material using F1 -> Technical information

Go to transaction CMOD , Goto -> Text Enhancement -> Keywords -> Change

Give the language & Data Element. Press Enter

The following screen appears where you can change the text for the data element.

Let's change the medium field label. Press SAVE.

Give the transport request number .Press Enter.

The following message appears. The text is hence changed.

So all transactions where the medium label is displayed will now show "SAP Material" instead of "Material".

Change as per your requirement.

Regards,

koolspy.

Try this way once,

Got to se38 enter the name and in the below radio buttons select texts instead of program

then you will be able to see the fields name and in the right side just mark the check box , now save and activate it.

Regards,

koolspy.

Sorry, koolspy, no points.

I know how to see the SAP texts, but in order to change them I would need an object key. Our procedure is not to request object keys, but only to make changes in the intervals where SAP allows it.

The notes I mentioned imply that it is possible to define texts for the enhancement rather than the program, that's what I want.

If all else fails, I suppose I'll use your earlier suggestion - if I define my own data elements, I can give them any texts I like. I'm still hoping to use the standard elements, though.
