Custom LDB - Program Details required

Hi SDNites,

I have created a custom LDB and it has generated databse program automatically with lots of commented code. Can you please advise in order to use this LDB, do we need to modify the code generated automatcically via SE36. If yes, can you please share some guide using which I can write the code in LDB.

Also while using this LDB, can you please advise,

1. How do I read the dynamic selection fields.

2. How to fetch the values from the database. I know in HR we normally use Get PERNR. In case of custom LDB Get <Key which is common in all tables used in DB> will fetch all the data?

Any guide for to write custom report program which uses custom LDB will be of great help.

I'm not real sure why your would want to use a LDB. That's a very slow way to get your data. (unless you are using HR?)

I honestly haven't used one since 1997. But I've never worked with SAP HR.
