External Debugging not working

Hi Experts,

I am calling one RFC in a Report from NT4 system to NT2 system (both of these are testing systems). The functionality of this RFC is to Create/Change Consignment POs . I have activated External breakpoints in NT4 system (in the report) and in NT2 system (at the starting of the RFC FM) and tried to execute the report in debugging mode.

The issue is PO change is successful and PO creation is not working only for some type of materials. I am trying to debug the issue but control is not going inside the FM even though I activated the External breakpoint and using same login id for both NT4 and NT2 systems.

I have tried with Activating debugging in SRDEBUG tcode also but didn't work.

Please let me know is there any other setting for activating external breakpoints.

Hi Swati

There is one more setting which you can try for external breaakpoitns to get hit. Go to transaaction SICF and then use the menu option EDIT->Debugging->Activate Debugging. in the popup which comes ip you can enter the user and then activate the debugging.

We dont have authorization for SICF transaction. Is there any other setting missing ?

Hi ,

NT4 system to NT2 system

This both the systems are Different so it is not possible .

because When you are Connecting to say NT4 where there can be Three Different Client say 600 , 700 .

i.e Development , Quality , Production

for Extrernal Debugging it should be on Same System and Also Same Client otherwise it is not possible to Debug .
