ABAP Query

Hallo Experts,

I have changed a query(added a new field in output) in Development system, with SQ01. Saved on a Transport reruest.

Transported to Quality system. There I could see the output with newly added field.

And then the same changes are transporte to Production system. But there the done changes are not seen.

What could be the reason ? is there any additional step required in Production to make the query changes effective ?

Hi Matt,

Check the Trnsaport request number in Quality and Production and see the objects under the transport request(TR), if not found means not properly transported.

Then created a new transport request in development, save allobjects under TR and and check in SE09 before releasing the request.

After completing your query in SQ01, from the query menu -> More Functions -> Generate Program.

Hi Matt,

Kindly let us know in which query area you have created your query.

1) Standard area or

2) Global area

Standard area queries are client-specific. They are not connected to the Workbench Organizer.

In the global query area, queries are developed that are used throughout the entire system (that is, they are cross-client). These queries are also intended for transport into other systems.

Select your query areas and then try again. (Environment -> query areas)

If your query area is Standard,

goto SQ02 or SQ03 and click on the Transport symbol

Choose import option in the Transport action selection

Check the over writing allowed box,

select the transport queries and give the query name

and give ur TR number in the and execute.

Hi Nanda,

Thank you for the reply.

This is a Infoset query, and created ib Global area. When I changed the query and saved it, asked for a TR and saved in Workbench request. And on transportation to Production, imported successfully into it. No issues. Only problem is.. those changes are not in effect. Is there any regeneration fo the query required ? Or any other steps to make the chages effective ?

Try query->more functions-> adjust and

query> more functions-> generate program.

Hi,

your transport request might have been moved to Production. But for the changes to appear in PRoduction, i believe, you will have to ask the basis people to explicitly import the changes to Production.

Report RSAQR3TR will help to import the changes.
