Screen Layout Modification Error

Hello Experts,

I am facing an error in the Screen layouts of certain random screens.

Situation - I am having a screen with a table control and a few buttons. When i am trying to change the data element of certain elements or when i am trying to change the position/size (Basically any changes), i am not able to save and activate it.

Error - If ANY changes are made to the screen elements, (changing the data element, display mode, position) I am not able to save it and activate.

Error Thrown - Question displayed -u2018 Unable to transfer Data. End program? u2018. Options available - Yes, No, Cancel

Effects - If I click yes, the layout screen changes and green lines appear.

Status Bar shows the error - 'EU_SCRP_WN32 : connection to partner '(the partner no is displayed) broken /

Kindly help me out with the same.

You can try

- check your connection (look also at SM21)

- re-install SAP Gui

Thank you for your reply Raymond.

I read through both the notes.

Note 1480854 - for the error - 'an alphanumeric editor is opened when the layout of a screen is opened'. But the layout is opening fine for me. Just that i am not able to save or activate any changes that i make to the screen layout.

Note 204910 - for the error - 'the graphical editor does not start or terminate'. In my case, i am able to see the layout of the screen perfectly and even make a few changes. But not able to save or activate it.

Hi,

Sometimes you may get these errors due to system load. did u try logout and login again?

Tried to logout and login so many times.. The issue is still pending..
