Thanks for your kind information.

I am new to object oriented ABAP . When i read the document it says that

To provide an external table that already contains user-specific data for user or role maintenance, you must implement a class that in turn implements interface IF_PERS_EXTERNAL_TABLE.

     Now what should i do ? Do i have to create a new Zclass and i should implement the interface also ? . Is there any other way to populate the data in the table level , because i know the data element name and the table name .

Is it possible add some kiind of Z search help to the Standard table ?.

data l_data type c length 100. "length or structure to be determinated
call method cl_pers_admin=>get_data
      exporting
        p_pers_key  = 'LAW_PERS'
        p_uname     = sy-uname
      IMPORTING
        p_pers_data = L_data.
"here check by debug what contains l_data
l_data+0(1) = 'X'. "here change the part you need
call method cl_pers_admin=>set_data
      exporting
        p_pers_key  = 'LAW_PERS'
        p_uname     = sy-uname
        p_pers_data = l_data.
commit work.

Hi,

that's just a template code, that may work for any personalization object.

If you want to know how l_data should be exactly declared, you have to look at the SPERS_REG table to know the function module/class used to enter the personalization data. Or start an ABAP trace (SE30) for SU01 when you enter the personalization dialog.

Sandra
