GettingRuntime Error: change w/o enhancem

Hi All,

Actually I am Beginner to ABAP.

Issue: When Executing my first program in runtime it is showing the error:

operation Id: Change w/o Enhancem Line num:21 (which is the write statement in my program)

Example:

DATA A TYPE I VALUE 20.

DATA B TYPE I VALUE 10.

DATA C TYPE I.

C = A + B.

WRITE C.

so this is my simple program i am trying it out, but unfortunately in runtime its throwing the error which i mentioned above and

pointing the write statement.

actually i have tried in different ways of write statement like:

WRITE / 'The sum is', C. or WRITE: / ' THE SUM IS' , C.

[* Actually i have tried the same program in one of my friend system, it's worked]

So even though that error is coming.So what might be the problem for that ? please reply for my query.

2) one more issue: Only Black text is set for font for my code., I want my font should be changed according to the SAP predefined key words,and differentiate with user defined statements, so that i can easily come to know while hard coding.

So is there any settings, for that to change?

Hi Sridhar Allenki,

1) Your code should work, I don't know this text in the error code. Could you provide the error ID instead of the text? Try to create again the report from scratch via SE38 transaction.

2) You'll have to use the ABAP editor 7.0 (at least), check that in the menu Utilities -> Settings, use the "new editor".

Thanks for your response.

1)Sorry Sandra, i.e by mistake instead of click on execute icon (F8) i pressed navigation icon so that causes & pointing on last line(write statement). So i realized when i have re executed the program sequentially.

2)for Editor,I have gone thru the steps which you mentioned, thanks for that.Now i am able to work on ABAP New editor.
