Text not populated in SO using BAPI

Hi all,

the text in the text tab for a line item is automatically populated when i create a Sales Order . This is picked from material Sales Text View .

But when i am creating a SO using BAPI the text is not populated . I don't want to use fm create_text to write the text for each

line item.

Please let me know if any one has solved this issue before.

Hi Eduardo,

Thanks for your input. But My requirement is not to pass the text in the BAPI but to it should be picked up automatically from Material master. This is way we are doing it manually.

Like manually i put the matrial number in VA01 and text is populated ; SO i am passing the material number to bapi expecting the text to be picked up automatically

I would check with your SD specialist if the text determination is correct. We're using BAPI for sales order creation and the standard texts are copied correctly. Granted, BAPIs do not always work the same way as the transactions, but I haven't heard of any issues with the texts so far.
