Domain is partially active

Hi Experts,

I am facing problem while activating a standard domain which we changed. It is showing error while activating the domain as one of the dependant table is inconsistent. I tried activating that table in all the ways, but the table is not getting activated. when I checked the activation log, both are partly active. Please help me out.

is it some thing like KOMK, KOMP, BVKOMK pricing related structures/tables?

Hi,

Its a 'RESERVED NAME' table, TRESE which belongs to CRM. and the domain is TEXT80.

Hi,

It is not a good practice to change a standard domain..Please create a custom domian and use appropriately..Please change back to original and then try to activate both domain and table

Hi Nagaraj,

We tried that way also, we are unable to activate it when we changed it to original. The table which I specified and the domain which I changed to original are partly active. Please help.

Hi,

Try to do database utility. se14.. click on adjust and activate the table.. and see.

whenever a domain which is used in database tables is changed then the table has to be adjusted and activated. For this go to the transaction se14 and do adjust and activate for the table. I think it should work. Thank you.

Hi,

I have tried the database utility and the result was like "Activation type =1 is not possible available" and I tried through SE54 and I could not activate through that also. I tried to adjust through report TOUCHTAB. But failed.:(

Please You examine below case;

1. Trese table "Where Used List" for programs,screen,func. module,structures,views etc.

2. Especial Trese-SOURCEHINT field "Where Used List" for programs,screen,func. module,structures,views etc.

I looked roughly for above 2 steps. These are using different type of object.

Hi Manjunatha,

go to version management and try to go back to the original unchanged version of all table and domains affected. Then DB utility as suggested.

change the datatype and size value and also see that buffer is not allowed

Hi Ambuja,

As this is a standard table and standard domain I cannt try changing the datatype and any other standard features. Please help me out.

If its a standard table , then how did you change? And if you changed why cant you change now. DO you have teh access key.

Also, If you changed the domain, it needs to be reflected to all tables that use it. And the tables might have to be adjusted in SE14.

Hi,

First revert the changes of the domain which you have made and save.

At the time if activation, try to activate both domain and dependent table together.

Yes, Its a standard table and I have access key to change it. What happened was like I changed the domain size by mistake. I need to reset it back to original. the actual functionality and feature should not change. Please suggest me a solution. is there any possibility that I can retrieve the previous version? Please help.

Hi,

If you have access ket to change domain, data element and table all three then do as below,

1) Go to domain -> definition tab ->give data type CHAR

- No. Of characters as 80

- Decomal places 0

- Output length 80

- Lovercase checked

2) Now try to activate table TRESE, Data Element TRESESRC and domain TEXT80 together.

Hi,

Goto the table TRESE , double click on data element TRESESRC ,

now goto Utilities~~>Versions~~>Version management ..

Check(Tick) the previous version , click on Retrieve (Ctrl+F5) , save and activate.
