Export Parameter type String in RFC sap 4.6b

Hello guys!

I need to export a parameter type String in a RFC but the sap version 4.6b gives me error when I activate the RFC..

If I put it as normal function this active correctly, but does not allow me as an RFC.

Anyone know how to fix this?

In 4.6c i don't have this problem..

Hi,

that's an old system. It seems to me that strings are not supported in RFC function modules in 4.6B. So if you know that your string has some reasonable size limit that you can change from string type to fixed size type. Or you can split your string into table with fixed sized lines and use it as export parameter.
