I have copied existing table in Dev and activated as local object and then created maintainenace view by keeping settings same as actual table and againt activate table as local object and have loaded data into table through custom program. Now I will assign the actual package to the table which will create a transport and activate it. Now will this automatically assign the actual package to table maintenance as well or do I have to delete the maintenance view and create again by assigning the package i need which will ask for transport again and can I use the same transport I created earlier. also once transport is released to QA will data will also migrate automatically? thanks

Hi,

I think you have to assign the function group to the new package by using SM30 TADIR (or menu Goto -> Object Directory Entry) corresponding to the maintenance dialog (note that one function group may be used by several dialogs).

Yes you can use same transport request (as it is same type (workbench)).

About the data, just have a look at the transport request (R3TR TABU) if it's there or not. If not then go to the maintenance dialog and click the transport option.

Sandra
