Switch framework is specific to the activation of applications relevant to some industry area. Once we activate the switch, it can not be deactivated.

Refer to transactions SFW1, SFW2, SFW3 & SFW5.

You will see warning message in SFW5:

Careful! Only reversible business functions can be deactivated

For this reason, only activate required business functions

If in doubt, read the corresponding documentation

If you are not looking out for industry specific solutions then you should not activate the switch.

Hi,

I'm new in the ECC6 version and I not 100% sure about enhancement framework functionality. I'm interesting in the usage of enhancement spots to cover one requirement, my questions are:

- to be able to use the enhancement spot functionality I have to activate also the switch framework? or may I use the enhancement framework without activate the Switch framework?

- I'm a SAP standard customer (not industry solution required), so If I activate the switch framework I'm also activating the correspondent Industry solution?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

nobody "activates the switch framework functionality", it just exists and can be used anytime anywhere, but you can "activate a switch", or all the switches you want. You may use the enhancement framework without using the switch framework.

BR

Sandra
