I am using the BAPI mentioned above to create Reference Operation Sets and have come across an issue when using it.

If I do not pass the field 'CHA_MASTER_IMPORT_MODUS' in Inspection Characteristics table, the BAPI returns the error 'Specify a valid data import mode for master inspection characteristic ...'

If I pass either of the values 'L' or 'C' the BAPI returns an error message 'Do not enter control indicators (X ) and L in DIRECT INPUT'

The only value that the BAPI will allow me to pass to it to create a Ref.Opser.Set is 'N' but this means that no data is imported into the characteristic.

Is there any way that this BAPI can be used so that values are copied across correctly to the inspection characteristic being created, ideally by using the value 'X' for this field or not?
