Screen Variant

Hello Experts,

I have created one screen variant using transaction SHD0. Now as I am working for the first time in variants, I want to know how the variant is automatically assinged to a program. It is a standard program SAPLMEOR.

Please clarify my doubt so that I can proceed further.

Hi,

It is used to hide any unwanted fields in standard SAP program.

Tcode - SHD0 ;

menu Goto - Screen variants

screen variant is for 1 screen but the trasaction variant can be for more than 1 screen.

e.g if there is any need to simplify the selection criteria or only certain fields in the main screen for any standard SAP tcode for report.
