ITAB_DUPLICATE_KEY Short Dump

Hello,

When a user executes the T-Code PA20/PA30/PA40, it gives a short dump.The dump shows ' A row with the same key already exists.

The current ABAP program "SAPLHRBAS00GENERICSELECTION" had to be terminated

because it has

come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.

please let me know if anyone has the solution

Hi,

next step is to find the internal table which has the duplicate entries. Look in ST22.

In program "SAPLHRBAS00GENERICSELECTION" there are several sorted tables with unique key definitions.

It would be helpful for us to post the part "Source Code Extract" of the short dump here ...

Hi,

This type dumps will occur, when Some body have created custom infotype or Enhanced in existing infotype and not activated properly. Provide the entire log from ST22.

This is the short dump..

The dump is occuring only for one user.. the other users are able to execute the T-codes

What happened?

Error in the ABAP Application Program

The current ABAP program "SAPLHRBAS00GENERICSELECTION" had to be terminated

because it has

come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.

What can you do?

Note down which actions and inputs caused the error.

To process the problem further, contact you SAP system

administrator.

Using Transaction ST22 for ABAP Dump Analysis, you can look

at and manage termination messages, and you can also

keep them for a long time.

Error analysis

An entry was to be entered into the table

"\FUNCTION=HR_GET_TEXT_FOR_OBJECTS\DATA=L_PERNR_DATE_TAB" (which should have

had a unique table key (UNIQUE KEY)).

However, there already existed a line with an identical key.

The insert-operation could have ocurred as a result of an INSERT- or

MOVE command, or in conjunction with a SELECT ... INTO.

The statement "INSERT INITIAL LINE ..." cannot be used to insert several

initial lines into a table with a unique key.

Hi,

Is this happend at time of create or hiring the employees which generate the new employee number ?

If yes then you have to check number range for emploees number. If employees already generated and reset the number range, Such kind of problem happend.

So check the number range.

The problem is when a user gives the T-code PA20/PA30/PA40 in the command, it is going for the dump..

this must be an error in db table PA0001 in


      SELECT pernr ename AS name begda endda FROM pa0001
        INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE l_pernr_date_tab
          FOR ALL ENTRIES IN pernr_tab
            WHERE pernr = pernr_tab-pernr AND
                  sprps EQ space.

in fm HR_GET_TEXT_FOR_OBJECTS.

Please check table PA0001 for this user. Anything other to other persons?

Hi,

Sometime it can be a authorization problem. Pl. check with SAP_ALL, Is it giving error or not ? if not giving error check which authorization missing or also user goup too.
