message handling at selection screen

Hi Experts,

Could any of You pls help me with a message handling at selection screen.

I have a selection screen with more than one block, and when I issue a fild content check and an error message, the fields could only be input fields with the same block as the checked field (with an error) is exist. Fields in other blocks are protected - values could not be changed - as I am using AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON block b - when I issue the checking and message handling.

How could it be coded that in case of error in the selection screen field content in all all filed could be writable never mind which block they are in?

Answers will be appreciated.

Hello,

you can use AT SELECTION_SCREEN in some variations:

- AT SELECTION_SCREEN without any additions:

- in case of error you'll get all fields editable.

- AT SELECTION_SCREEN ON BLOCK <block> :

in case of error you'll get only the fields of this block editable

- AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON <Parametername or Select-option-Name>

in case of error you'll get only the specified fields editable

and some other variants...(refer to the abap-online docu)
