Validation for User fields in AUFK

Hi Everyone,

In Table AUFK there are some Individual Master Data fields defined:

USER0 AUFUSER0 CHAR 20 Applicant

USER1 AUFUSER1 CHAR 20 Telephone

USER2 AUFUSER2 CHAR 20 Person in charge

USER3 AUFUSER3 CHAR 20 Telephone

USER4 AUFUSER4 CURR 11 Estimated costs

USER5 AUFUSER5 DATS 8 Application date

USER6 AUFUSER6 CHAR 15 Department

USER7 AUFUSER7 DATS 8 Date work begins

USER8 AUFUSER8 DATS 8 Work ends on

USER9 AUFUSER9 CHAR 1 Indicators

I found this information on how to modify them:

The field I need to change is USER6 - Department. What the user wants, as this is a free text field, is to have a drop down box in order to have the same value. For example today they are using PRD, PROD, PRODUCTION for the same value. They would like to have a Help Input with PROD, PLANT, etc....

The above link says the system doesn't check for any entries. My question is, if I create the Z domain as explained on the link and add Static Values for the field, is this going to work?

Has anybody come across this issue before?

Hi,

Just in case somebody finds the solution useful. The way to solve it is using User Exit "COOPA_01 Customer-specific checking modules for internal orders". Here The user fields in table AUFK can be checked and an error message can be issued.
