Web Service Creation

Hello Guys,

I have created a web service for a Custom FM (RFC enabled) through SE80.Is my Web service ready to be used.

Or do any further config's are required from my side?

Hi,

After creating the webservice, there is nothing that we can test. the web service can be tested via tools like soap ui.

To get the link, you can use the transaction 'SOAMANAGER' under the tab Application and Sceneraio Communication, in the link Single service Admisntration.

You can also modify the configuration according to your requirement.

Thanks Prabhakar.

I have one more issue.I have an existing custom service in the system whose exporting parameters of service are different from the exporting parameter's of Function module(on which service is created).So when i run a syntax check on the Service,it gives me errors saying"XXX field in not available".

How can we remove this error ?Is there any possibility to regenerate the exporting parameters?Or is it better to create a new Service for this.?

In SE84, Enterprise Services-->Service Definitions, select the servie and check syntax and regenerate it. the service will be adjusted. No need to create a new service.

Daz,

Where exctly do i need to regenrate it.On the right click of the service(in SE 80), i cannot find the regenerate option.

Is it some where in the menu?

Press change icon & if any popup press Yes

then Save & Activate in se80.....

there is no option for regenerating. But when you check syntax of the service definition, it will give you error. Now activate it, it will show a series of pop up. Press enter for everything. the number of pop up depends upon the number of fields changed. After that the service would be adjusted and activated again.

Thnx very much.

Now, error concern for one of my service is solved.But for the other service,as soon as i go to change mode to activate and

remove the errors its navigating me to dump.

Well for this,i think it would better to create a new Web Service.What do u people suggest?
