This worked perfectly.</P><P>The tab has been inserted using cl_abap_char_utilities=&gt;horizontal_tab.</P><P></P><P>Recently, we upgraded our system (ECC 5.0) to SP24 and now the tab character is no longer recognised by the RF device.</P><P>I created a report to write a file on appl. server with tab separated values, and when i download the text file to my windows pc, the <STRONG>text is tab</STRONG> separated. However if i take a print of an output using similar code, i see a <STRONG>'#'</STRONG> instead of a tab space.</P><P></P><P>I suspect it is due to some changes in the way SAP interprets the hex characters in the kernel while printing.
