How to get the table Value unconverted using SELECT

In ABAP program, a SELECT is written to find a value being imported from spreadsheet. The value doesn't find match because the table stores an unconverted value. How can I code for this?

For example:

The spreadsheet value is GAL, the table T006 has the Val. as GAL, but the unconverted value is GLL. The select statement is coming back without success.

i_rpt_line-VOLUME_UOM = 'GAL'.

select single MSEHI INTO w_uom

from T006

where MSEHI = i_rpt_line-VOLUME_UOM.

After this call, sy-subrc = 4.

please do check in SDN..

Check out the MSEHI and MSEH3 fields in T006A... there is a conversion routine for Unit of measure (CUNIT) check out the domain MEINS and the convers routine(there are FMs for the conversion) and you can also use that...

By going to the table, find the domain for the field. Conversion is CUNIT which then shows two conversion. The correct one for my situation was CONVERSION_EXIT_CUNIT_OUTPUT.
