To list date fields in given table

hi,

i have got one requirement in that i have to list date fields in given table as list box when user press F4 .Selection screen will have

2 parameters 1) table name

2) field name(Date field)

Can any one tell me is there any function module will list date fields in enterd table. Or there is any way to find total date fields

in table.

Hi,

You can use FM 'DDIF_NAMETAB_GET' to get the fields and types of a table and then look on the output table DFIES_TAB where DATATYPE equal to 'DATS'.

You can count date fileds in a DBTAB


SELECT COUNT(*) FROM dbtab where <condition>

What's your WHERE condition for the specific table? You seem to throw out a lot of non-specific responses, which would be point trolling in my book...

Himanshu already gave a good response, but I'd be curious to know the source of the requirement .
