Hi all

I am working on user exit. In this, I needed to add a popup where some buttons are present and user choose one and then the control is returned to the user exit. I created this popup with an external report submitted where there was a

CALL SCREEN STARTINA AT x y ENDING AT k j.

The problem is that, while the popup is on the screen I lost the background transaction (VA01), because external report is submitted. Is there a way to avoid this beavhiour?

Hi Gabriele,

Call a function module with import and export, and write the call screen in this function module.

why do u have to create a screen use available ones

e.g FM 'POPUP_WITH_3_BUTTONS_TO_CHOOSE'

'J_3A_POPUP_TO_DECIDE'

Hi Gabriele,

Why didn't you put your pop-up logic inside the exit itself with the condition ? A screen would have been called at the point when your return is TRUE.

I tried to create a FM ... but how call a screen from it ?

if u want to do it that way.

you have to create the screen in function group and call it buy why do you really have to create one when may of these pop ups are already available in SAP

It's the same as report, so you can replace the code you've used in your report:

CALL SCREEN STARTING AT x y ENDING AT k j.

I created the screen in function group (working on SE80 instead of SE37)
