Variant Configuration materials

Hi,

I am trying to find how to populate the characteristics values for a a configurable material in sales order (VA01). Instead of the default values, we want populate them depending on other sales order criteria.

I have looked at the standard user exits in particular USEREXIT_MOVE_WORKAREA_TO_SDWA. Has anybody attempted anything similar to this !?

Any ides would be greatly appreciated.

Are there are any suitable user exits in the Configuration side of things ( Function Group CEI0 !? ) where we can fill the values. I debugged most of the code but could not find a place where I can populate the values.

Are you still having problems with this BP? This can be done using Reference Charecteristics, i can explain further but I dont want to type out a long explination if you have figured it out already. Reply back if you would like me to explain further.
