    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi ToraTora,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;well, you may program a background job with two steps:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- first one, the program you'd like to run&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- second one, one simple program that calls &lt;DEL&gt;function 'BP_EVENT_RAISE'&lt;/DEL&gt; (sorry, it's obsolete, try "CALL METHOD cl_batch_event=&amp;gt;raise" instead)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;One workaround could be:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- the last task of your background job is updating a Z table with a value&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- on your program, read this table. If it's populated, delete the content, and perform the action you want.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I hope it helps.       <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;i would like to know if it's possible to do that : in my program i launch a background job and when this job finished an event is triggered and i would like to catch this event in my program. &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks for your help.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
