Table maintenance: display text instead of code

Hi,

I created a Z table where I have two fields (SLART and AUSBI). These fields are codes.

In the table maintenance these fields are showed as code. I want to display the text instead.

How can I achieve this?

Hello Charles,

Not sure, but i think in the table maintenance you can't display only the text.

You could display the code and the corresponding text. To do so, you could define a

view with your own Z table and the text table T517T and T518B.

You would define as view fields the values of your Z-Table and the related textfields and mark the textfields as read-only.

In a second step you would define the table maintenance on this view.

I think I could achieve what was asked by doing my own code in table maintenance events, but I adopted your suggestion by now.

If the user do require that only the texts be visible then I'll follow the other path.
