VT70 BDC replacement

Hi all,

Previously I used a BDC call to VT70, then found out the it's not possible to tick checkboxes in the alv output of VT70 then hit execute.**

VT70 processing:

input screen, hit execute

output is in alv format with checkboxes,

checkboxes need to be ticked then execute...

result: will process messages for shipments

Since it was not possible to do so, I opted to using the Function Module used in VT70. This works perfect.

However, my problem now is that if an error occurs, the FM displays/pops up an information message. There is a big possiblity that the program will be run in background. Is there any way to stop the FM from displaying the messages?

FM is not rfc-enabled so i cant use IN BACKGROUND TASK.

FM can't be changed and will not be allowed to be copied and modified.

Or is there something else I can use as a replacemetn to the bdc call?

Partial duplication of your earlier message, I see...

try it...might write to log or spool, or (more likely, I think) will abend.
