Make sure it is legal (little tip...).

Please contact your account manager to discuss (a.k.a. negotiate...) your contract terms.

The best model in my opinion is an enterprise license for the software and then you have no further user account restrictions for the standard SAP suite (exceptions are connectors and agents for non-SAP products in some cases).

Cheers,

Julius

HI All,

We are new client for SAP Software, recently we re-submitted our licencse numbers to SAP

Professional

Limited Professional

Employee

ESS

Developer

SAP came back and said we are not supposed to use Limited Professional Lisence for company employees and should only be used for Business Partner. and this change is since 2007

Right now we have 5000 user base in our system, if we do not use Limited professional then would end up with lot of Professional Licence which is expensive. the people we identified as Limited professionals now have few change tcodes and majority of display tcodes. Can we shift all the Limited Professionals to Employee License ? will SAP buy that ?

Whats the work around ? has anyone come across this situation ?

Thanks,
