Tooltip in an output pushbutton

Hi,

the question is pretty simple, is it possible to add a tooltip in a pushbutton set as 'output'? For the moment I know that the label is set using a variable in the report with the same name than the button on the screen, but what about the tooltip?

I tried to link a variable to the tooltip property, but it's not working. Do the output pushbuttons support the tooltips?

Hi Javi,

Follow these steps: In the Screen Painter element list, choose the “General Attributes” tab and the “Property List” column; or the “Properties” pushbutton in the “Layout” display on the “Attributes” window. Insert the “TooltipText” property to assign a tool tip.

Hi,

Go to screen layout and double click on the button for which you are setting the toop tip text. Then Attributes window will open. In that window, Just below the 'Icon name' field, there is 'Tooltip' field. You give the tool tip text there.

Also Dont forget to save the layout. After saving come to flow logic and activate the program and run. Then it definetely shows the tool tip when you place the mouse pointer on the button.

Hi Thien,

I had already tried this option, but remember that it is an 'output' pushbutton, so if you go to the screen painter there is no tooltip property.

Anyway I tried what you say, and filled out the TooltipText property, and it doesn't work either. I've tried providing assigning a variable to the property and also using a static text (like text-001) and with none of the options worked.

I am starting to think that it is not possible to assign a tooltip for just 'Output' (not Input/Output) pushbuttons
