Extracting Long Text for Task List.

Dear expert,

I have a requirement to extract the Long text of Task List in below format (in excel). I am using FM u201CREAD_TEXTu201D for same & it is extracting the long text data of task list from SAP Editor correctly. However I am facing problem with outputting the data in below format. Either I can directly download data from report output list in below format or use FM u201CGUI _DOWNLOADu201D to export the data to excel in below format. Please suggest me which way will be good & how. I am using below code.

Data Format :-

Name (parameter u201CNAMEu201D in FMu201DREAD_TEXT) Sl.No Text

000023600000020000001 1 Pipe sealing

2 Equipement malfunction

Data: ITAB_TEXT type standard TABLE OF tline occurs 1.

concatenate sy-mandt w_plnty w_plnnr w_plnkn w_cim_count into W_NAME.

condense w_name.

CLEAR ITAB_TEXT[].

CALL FUNCTION 'READ_TEXT'

EXPORTING

CLIENT = sy-mandt

ID = W_ID

LANGUAGE = sy-langu

NAME = w_name

OBJECT = W_OBJECT

TABLES

LINES = itab_TEXT

IF SY-SUBRC <> 0.

ENDIF.

LOOP AT ITAB_TEXT.

ENDLOOP.

Here all the long text data are coming into internal table u201CITAB_TEXTu201D.

Hi,

I would suggest go for an alv output then the user can save whatever format he wants.. Take one field with 255 char and then append the values so that it will come one line after other..
