system field for direct input

Hi,

Can someone tell me what is the system field for direct input. I could not find it in SYST. I need to do a logic that shoudl work only if the user is not on a direct inout mode. Can some one give me the system field pls.

Deepak, i am working on an exit which should not trigger when the users are on batch input and direct input. Direct input is to populate the values directly into the table rather than calling the screen. I found out the field for batch-input which is BINPT in SYST table and am not able to find any system field for direct input.

Hi,

It is not advisable to update the tables using "direct input" ( Directly updating the tables ). SAP doesn't do a "direct input". I believe you will have a "direct input" from a Y / Z program. You could check for SY-TCODE = 'SE38'.

Other than direct & batch how do you update the data ? You can restirct the other way using sy-repid,sy-tcode etc based on how you are doing.
