Create distribution lists for many users

Hello.

We want to use the distribution lists of SAPOffice as a "telephone book" and defined one person to distribute this lists to many users.

To have acces to the office of other persons this distributor is defines as a substitute.

Now we want to write a report doing the job.

With the function module "SO_DLI_INSERT_API1" it's possible to create a distribution list - but only for the signed user.

Any ideas how to solve the problem?

Hi,

A long shot, but could you get the custom transaction to trigger a batch job with the "signed on user" as the job owner/user under which the step runs? You Tcode could monitor when the job has run and provide a response to the report.

The down-side is you may need to adjust the user's authorizations to enable this.

Alternatively, you might be able to create a custom Tcode to run the SO_DLI_INSERT_API1 function. In your report, create and trigger a BDC session, to run the custom Tcode. The BDC_OPEN_GROUP function call (to open the BDC session) should be provided with the USER parameter - the only reason I'm hesitant with this option is because I can't remember whether the user is used to run the Tcode or just against which any authorizations are checked.
