CONVT_NO_NUMBER error

Hello xperts,

my formula

l_d_deltamanpo = <f_blmansec1_ref> + l_d_calpo.

where

<F_BLMANSEC1_REF> = 0.0000000000000000E+00

L_D_CALPO = 1.000

gives:

L_D_DELTAMANPO = *

The result * instead of the expected 1 seems to indicate that something is wrong, but what????

The declarations are:

field-symbols:

<f_blmansec1_ref> type /bic/oiblmansec1, (FLTP 16 16)

DATA:

l_d_deltacalto type /bic/oiblcalpo0, (DEC 17 3)

and I have tried the following:

l_d_deltamanpo type f

l_d_deltamanpo type p

l_d_deltamanpo type /bic/oiblmansec1

I cant change <f_blmansec1_ref> or l_d_deltacalto !!!

Nothing works. Any ideas out there???

Solution is simple.

Move <F_BLMANSEC1_REF> to a variable of type p then do the addition using the new variable.


DATA: PAC TYPE P(12) DECIMALS 4.
TRY.
    PAC = <f_blmansec1_ref>.
    l_d_deltamanpo =  PAC + l_d_calpo.
  CATCH CX_SY_CONVERSION_OVERFLOW.
ENDTRY.

It would have been easy for you to get a solution if you just search for the exception CONVT_NO_NUMBER which you got.

Hi,

L_D_DELTAMANPO cannot contain the result of the formula.

Try copy the value of the field symbol to a data object with the same data element.

I tried

DATA: l_blmansec1_ref type /BI0/OIUOMN1F,
      l_d_deltacalto type /BIC/OF_DEC_000017_03,
      l_d_deltamanpo type /BI0/OIUOMN1F.

l_BLMANSEC1_REF = '0.0000000000000000E+00'.
l_d_deltacalto = 1000.

l_d_deltamanpo = l_blmansec1_ref + l_d_deltacalto.

WRITE l_d_deltamanpo.

and works fine, the data element used are the same as yours at domain level
