HI,

I am trying to use some function modules used by RRP1 in APO but I am getting a COM error when I try to run the function module. COM error normally is associated to LIVECache access.

I need to create a program that extracts information just like RRP1 so I started to look for the FM used by that but when I try to test the FMs individually to see, I get a COM error for some.

Can anyone tell me how do I access LiveCache data and if there is anyone who has created a similar program that brings out data like rrp1.

Thanks!

S

Access to liveCache is only possible via Native-SQL or via DBM commands. A simple example for reading liveCache data is function module GET_KERNELVERSION_SDB, which uses both techniques (Native-SQL and DBM commands). Remark: The impor parameter CON_NAME is the liveCache name which you see in transaction DB59 (normally the name is "LCA"). With the other two parameters you can choose if the data should be read either via Native-SQL or via DBM commands.
