Hi Soumen,

Thanks for the information.

I don't know what is happening to cause this. It sounds like the config is OK which is the main thing.

You do have a problem with your Basis person. They obviously do not have security skills or training as 1. They should not be maintaining the value against the authorisation object. 2. There is absolutely no requirement for a value to appear in the F4 list for it to be able to be maintained in that situation. This is the main issue as there is nothing technically stopping the access to this specific plant being granted.

Hopefully someone will be able to shed more light on why the value is not appearing in the F4 lookup.

Good luck

Regards

Dear All,

We have created a new plant and transported to Quality Client. Also we have tested the newly created plant in MM01 & other transactions.

When maintaining authoriazations in role,we have taken drop down (F4) in WERKS field of M_MATE_WRK auth obj., but the required, newly created plant is not showing in the same box.

Kindly advise.

Can you please check in organization value tab 1st of all rather than checking in object directly. Please ensure that the query do not have any filter by default. Also chek in table T001W if entry for new plant has been created or not

Reg,

Arpan

Hi, a few questions:

1. Does this plant appear in the F4 lookup in functional transactions?

2. Have you processed end-to-end functions using this plant?

3. Why are you trying to maintain the plant in the auth object, this should only be maintained in the org-level popup

4. What problem will it cause if you cannot find it in the drop down?

Hi Alex,

Please find response against your query:-

1. Yes, I have checked in MB52, MB51, MMBE or MM01 etc and found the plant is appearing.

2. Yes, I have done P2P & OTC cycle for this plant using my ID.

3. We asked our client's end user to check the plant in Quality client, so he required authorization for this plant. When BASIS tried to maiantain authorization for this plant, he told plant is missing in his F4 list.

4. BASIS person told he not able to provide authorization for this particular plant due to missing entry. He refuse to maintain "*" for this object.
