Accessing different internal tables in different programs through a common

Hi All,

I have a requiremnt where I have to write a common form which will be called in 8 different programs. These programs have an internal table which has different structure in different programs but there is a common field for 'comment' in it. I have to update this comment field for variuos records in the internal table for a particular program through this form.

Welcome to SDN!

For your requirement you may think of using field-symbols. For example use field-symbol for the internal table and along with it pass the data type of the internal table to the form, this way you can use the component 'Comment' of the table and update it.

I knew it has to be by the use of field symbol. We can have the tables parameter in the function module and then also we can use it as the tables passed by reference in the tables parameter.
