Modification - version management inconsistency

Hi Experts,

I have a function module which was modified some weeks ago but in the version manager there is no entry showing the transport request of the modification and there is no initial SAP version owned by SAP. I have checked the entry in the VRSD and function module has no value in the fields KORRNUM and AUTHOR. The version 00001 has no author (it should be SAP), and the compare function between the u201Coriginalu201D function module and the modified function module (which is active) shows no difference.

Any ideas about know is possible to have such inconsistent state in the database or how to to solve this problem?

Check for differences in a cross-system compare.

Check for a correct version in another system.

If you find a correct version, you can either transport that to the 'inconsistent' system - another approach could be: reset the thing in SE95 to SAP-standard and see what happens.

As for the cause: I have no idea. This could be everything. A bug would be my first clue, so search in SMP (=OSS) if there are any notes on that function module specific to your release/patch level.
