changed the append structure fields

Hi Experts

Some one added few fileds to the PRPS table through append structure last year.Now I changed the description of all append structure fileds by using new Data Elements with new description, the same append strucure been used in many tables and structures.Ex:PRPSR.

When I execute the transaction CN43 and choose add columns with the new append struture fileds, it is saying " The filed PRPSR-ZZLAND " is not defined.

Please help me to fix this issue.

Hi,

Go se14 and enter and your append structure name and try to adjust this using this database utility application.

Once you adjust it it will adjust and reflects in all the table in which it is used...

This should solve your problem.

Hi,

Please check whether your table (not the append structure) is fully activated or partially.

If it is partially, then get it activated using the SAP Utilities for Dictionary Tables u2013 SE14.

Thank you for your reply.

I already done the same. i.e activated the append structure in development and testing clients. more over activated all related tables and structures (used where user list for the append structure include). and Adjusted SE14 also(Active and Adjust data base).Still i am getting the same error .

please help me to fix the issue.

Hi Madhulatha,

Could you please check the Runtime object also?

Goto se11 - > give the table name and then Utilities -> Runtime object -> Check. Kindly check the Result of the check. It should be 'Runtime Object is Consistent'.

It may be fine, but I had an issue once due to this.

Check for the append structure too.

I checked the Runtime Object - Check- Result of Check-Runtime Object is Consistent.

Still I couldn't solve the issue.

Hi Madhulathakota ,

Did u change the names of fields in that append structure?

Maybe field ZZLAND was used before your structure modification,

than it gives that error

Please go to se38 and generate program RCNPE000 (program for CN43 tcode) and try once. This is a wild guess but it works sometimes. If not sorry for wasting your time..

Hi Madhu latha,

Try to activate the domain and data element and try to use force conversion for this in SE14 u have an option called as force conversion.

This should solve you issue now..

Not understanding how the same append structure can be used in multiple tables.

When exactly do u get the error?

Please check for the domains and data elements for the fields also ....!
