Field length

Hi All,

data: begin of t_spooltab occurs 0,

spoolid(10),

docno(10),

end of t_spooltab.

In the above code what is spoolid(10) .Either it occupies 10 pages in one spoolid or else it length is 10.

After executing the report .Spool is generated.But when i open pdf file in status bar message is " Only page 1 to page 10 of 14 displayed "..but when i open pdf file only 10 pages are there.

Why it is not showing 14 pages.

Hi,

are you open the pdf-file with acrobat??

If yes, you need to change the settings for "read" and max. showing of pages.

Not acrobat.In sp01 transaction When i click a particular spool number.

Hi,

you can also set the count of pages inside sp01. /goto/ display request/ content

If you change the "to page" to 15, do you see any 14 pages??

This is because displaying more than 10 pages might cause memory overflow !!! (atleast SAP says so)

Maybe i don´t understand your problem.

You asked for showing all pages and then, you say it´s possible because of the memory overflow.

in spool display in menu bar

GOTO->DISPLAY REQUEST->SETTINGS

here you can maintain the number of pages to be displayed... but if you keep too much then itmay cause system overflow.

Click the "Settings" button (Ctrl + Shift + F10) & select the range of pages you want to display(from page , to page).

You'll get a warning message about "memory overflow", ignore it.

And you can also click in setting, that you only want to see the last 4 pages.

May be this is some Basis setting i am not aware of. I checked in my PROD, i do get the pop up

This message is very old, from the mid 90ies or even older, I don't think that displaying >10 pages presents a serious problem for today's hardware (up to some limit of course). Not sure why SAP is keeping it in the standard. Should be asked in "Netweaver Admin"...
