Can BAPI Calls in a report trigger an IDOC using BAPI-ALE?

Hi,

I had a requirement to create PO using BAPI. The code is complete. But now I have to use an IDOc instead of BAPI since it is an asynchronous scenario.

Is there any possible way that after CALL BAPI step in the report, an IDOc will be triggered. Is it possible if i set-up BAPI-ALE?

If yes, do we need to call call_bapi_commit after calling the BAPI.

Please share your opinions.

When the PO is created you can configure change pointers which will trigger the idocs.

Hi Suhas,

I want the PO to be created using IDocs.

Want to understand the concept of BAPI-ALE. Will merely calling a BAPI trigger an IDOC by setting up BAPI-ALE.
